The place to be !
In the unlikely event you don't know, Nelson Mandela is dead.
If you didn't know, it's because you are either dead or living deep in a cave cut off from "civilization". Indeed, the global media
hype has been in full swing since the announcement of the death of the former South African president.
Contiue here
E.T. & the Dj
When the explorations of the day lead us from a parabolic antenna scanning the stars to the ancestor of turntables, we do literally a
trip through time and space.
And to repent, you will also find a (legal) visit to a very beautiful church in Tournai.
On the road again with D-Kryptage Urbain & Kaptage.
Autumn Tour 2013
Aaahhh... Autumn...
The fall of leaves, the fall of temperatures and the fall of... explorers !
Let details but a few entries during this mini-trip really were worth the look.
On tour with D-Kryptage Urbain, Kaptage, Lily Stoneheart and Romain for new adventures.
The last thing that still works in this damn country...
... but don't spoil our fun !
Twelve years after our last qualification, we can finally forget that we were the laughingstock European football for more than a decade.
By the way, hello to Bart de Wever
WE ARE QUALIFIED !
Brasil, aqui vamos nós !
Summer Tour 2013 - 2nd episode
On the road again !
This could be the title of the next Hollywood blockbuster movie.
Heavily armed guards (a wooden board is it a weapon ?), a ferocious dog with big sharp teeth (ie a Jack Russell...), explorers
trapped in a pool's locker-room, stealth worthy of Mr. Bean, old pervert guys amateur of fresh meat, dried pigeons, an Albanian,
Hitchcockian suspense and a good dose of laughter.
Whether with Christel, D-Kryptage Urbain, Kaptage, Xavier, Lily Stoneheart or Romain, it was beautiful meetings, visits to the
great classics of urbex or small places very friendly, good humor and surprises.
See you next time in September for new adventures.
Summer Tour 2013 - 1st episode
Let's go to the East !
Summer finally pointing the tip of his nose, nothing like some wasteland or abandoned houses to regain freshness more than welcome.
A weekend where the body was put to the test, but when the fun is there, we quickly forget exhaustion.
A huge thanks to D-Kryptage Urbain, Kaptage, Xavier & André for these nice expeditions.
Albert is going. And after ?
Back in 1993.
I was on my bike when King Baudouin passed from life to death.
I was young and I naively thought that I lived in the best country in the world.
Two decades later, I am older, I have no more bike and I can say I live in one of the most lopsided in the world. Needless to
come back on our Kafkaesque institutions, as outputs of the sick imagination of a mad scientist.
The ultimate defense against the all-power of politicians in this small country is rightly the king. Of course, you will tell me
that he could not speak or make decisions after receiving the blessing of our political parasites. He nevertheless maintained a
eutral and an aura that has lifted the crisis countries including Belgium could not get up.
As such, I can't imagine the 2010 crisis managed by Di Rupo and De Wever... Albert II had the enormous advantage of not having to
lie (I'm not talking about his private life, Delphine) to get his position.
What remained at the top of the State of impartiality and dignity is about to bow before the next scheduled crisis in mid-2014.
The weariness of the deep debility of our "representatives" and age have reason of Albert II.
It remains for me to wish you, Your Royal Highness, a happy retirement and thank you.
As a result...
I sincerely hope that Philip will be a king of the same value as his father. If this is not the case, I am not optimistic about the
future of Belgium.
Republicans will eventually have the head of the monarchy and could easily install an upstart - sorry, a politician - at the head of
the country, before the split. And then it will be over for us, poor compatriots... A quick overview of our politics, both north and
south, is enough to foreshadow the worst.
We already were and insignificant in the eyes of the world being are more or less united, needless to make a drawing with of the
disappearance of Belgium.
Come on, I'll still try...
Long live Philip & long life to Belgium !
Attention everyone ! Wallonia.be is coming !
While our multiple levels of power are screaming from the rooftops that it is high time to save money, our regional pundits
thought they had a wonderful idea (one more...) by commissioning a study for a redeployment of the international image of
Wallonia, as well as a new logo.
The cost ? 60,000 € for the logo and 477,000 € for the study.
I'll let you judge the relevance of the study and its price.
The killer detail (a little more...) : the domain name Wallonia.be has been registered since 2000 by an individual from the Ghent region.
At the point where we are...
In order to continue in the most total aberration, and thus justify my hatred towards politicians (Walloons in this case), an additional
700,000 € would be necessary in order to bring this logo to life (sic !).
Small consolation (just for laughs), the purchase of the domain name wallonia.be should cost only 2,500 €.
Nothing than a vulgar pile of bricks ?
A single brick is ugly, it's heavy and it's useless, we agree. And few people wonder where these bricks come from... From a
brickyard, of course !
And when several of these bricks (like a lot, not a few dozen) are put together with art and passion, it gives us little masterpieces
like Sacrilege Church. Or even a prison.
Obviously, if a minimum of care isn't taken with these brick buildings, we know what will happen.
The intersecting destiny of two of these places : one where the bricks are created, and the other where they are implemented. And for the three sites, a long oversight that will end in disappearance or massacre.
Old school derelict
No later this week, I realized I was in the moment “old school”. And in all points of view.
It happens sometimes...
Obviously, this has affected my choice of the visits of the day. Preferring sites unfashionable - yes, there are fashions in everything
- and I was pleased that they were still there.
Knowing these places for nearly ten years, I would never have imagined being able to go there one day. This is now done, the visit of
Kasteel van Messines particularly pleased me.
A more recent place will also have been visited : the excessiveness of Heavy Metal.
We retrieve the sun !
Finally !
After months where our dear sun has sulked us, a small weekend when we have forgotten all that is waterproof.
Forget umbrellas and other health troubles, it is with some trepidation that I took my camera for new visits. You have to get used
to the outdoors again.
For tourism, you can visit the museums of Cinquantenaire in Brussels, with Mike and yours obedient (ahem ...) servant.
Go to the next pouring rain !

Long pause
Last updated in January... Well, it will be time to get back, right ?
But why such a long absence ? Do I ask you questions ?
This might surprise you, but sometimes I have interests other than this website.
See you the next episode, in next few weeks.
2012+1
To close this year 2012 in beauty, two excursions to places of exception.
Firstly, publication of an uncommon adventure made in the summer, Théâtre des Reines. Then, a visit to a place that will soon be ancient
history : Hare Monastery.
If the first will reborn soon from its ashes, the second will be a field of ruins.
So, after 2012, 2013. Immediately after digested New Year's Eve, I took my pilgrim stick and invit you to the Couvent des Écoliers.
Thereupon, big kisses.
