To close this year 2012 in beauty, I invite you to accompany me for this visit made end of August.
"And the light was"... And not a little !
For the second time, I find the light on in a place that is supposed to be empty of any presence. After Clinique E, my flashlight
will again be useless. The kind of little detail that makes me think that I'm not going to stay here long.
However...
After a quick tour of the place to make sure of my solitude, I was finally able to admire quietly this marvel of Art Deco. Being an
old baroque chapel ruined during the First World War, it was rebuilt as a theater during the inter-war period. From the old sanctuary,
only the outer walls remain, as well as the apse in the back of the great hall.
All the rest was rebuilt in this art that integrated architecture and the arts of decoration. Thus, everything will be designed to
integrate perfectly into the whole : what is functional will be decorated to harmonize with the rest.
And the Théâtre des Reines, despite the weight of years has kept this beautiful consistency.
Abandoned for more than a decade, this beautiful place is about to relive finally.
This is not an entry.
Let's start the tour by the summits.
The fencing hall.
The reverse of the decor of the main hall.
Right away, we feel less alone...
A giant sgraffito.
The entrance hall.
Thanks the sun !
The main room. A truly amazing place !
Shadow & light...
It's time to go...
