After a long walk from Du Parc,
here I am at the old tannery Schotte.
If I enjoyed the wide open spaces of the previous visit, what about exploring this one ! It's simple, just multiply
all by two. It's bigger, it's higher and... it's more destroyed too. But not for the same reasons.
Here we restore the exterior wall but everything is demolished inside. We should be more talk of dismantling : sanitizing
somewhere, breaking a portion, let the bazaar rotting and attacking another building. Thus, no sector with something
missing : a roof, a machinery, a wall, a floor.
Alternating narrow passages and large open spaces, it is a visit to do with only a good weather.
Twenty years later after abandon...
One aspect of the plant : many trees.
Another aspect : greatness.
I tried to find an intact glass. Vain.
The tree parasitizing the wall.
Echo, echo, echo...
The last machine still in place. It used to... uh...
Being open to all winds, taggers are free to soil the place.
Beautiful stairs.
This one looks less valiant...
The oldest building.
Open space.
The other main aspect of the site.
They destroy and leave.
Breathless fan.
The flying heater.
It's time to back home.
