Externally, the straight lines of the cooling tower betray his old age, the most recent generally
having a parabolic shape. Another indication of the age of the installation, all internal infrastructures is wood.
For cons, the presence of a small house isn't normal. There was not a guy who stayed inside to take the temperature of the water !
As a reminder, you should never attempt
to enter a cooling tower of an active site (whatever it is), serious health problems (legionella), even death by suffocation, are assured
if you absolutely want to tempt the devil.
The visited towers are inactive for more than 10 years, the risks are much lower, even if they remain home of crap.

(famous French song)
The square walkway.
The hot water was brought in these channels and was discharged by the sprinklers.
>Inside one of the many canals.
The falling drops of water were slowed by wooden slats.
By slowing the fall of the water, it had more time to cool before reaching the bottom of the tower.
More there wood slats, best is cooling effect.
Here we are at the bottom of the tower.
The whole structure shown before built on these concrete pillars.
After the cycle, the water is discharged through the channel and back, or to the factory that produces hot water, or in a river.
It's "small" but beautiful.
How long will it stay still standing ?
