Another recently abandoned and deconsecrated church...
This is becoming a sad habit, and more and more villages no longer have places of worship. And as is often the case, our visit
today consists of a building from the end of the 19th century, in other words from an era which enjoys little interest among our
decision-makers and most architecture enthusiasts.
At best, these small churches are converted with more or less success into private homes and keep their exterior appearance, at
worst they are disfigured or simply erased from our landscapes. As if to make certain things disappear that have become embarrassing
for a few parties well to the left of the political spectrum.
Well.
If rediscovering the sensations of urban exploration does me a lot of good, wandering through these kinds of places doomed
to disappearance causes me some sadness.
Thanks to Jean-Philippe for the tip
A typical neo-Gothic hall church.
It can be noted that with the exception of some water infiltration, the church is still very strong.
Another notable fact: the stained glass windows are almost all intact.
A small church nevertheless giving off an impression of grandeur.
Let's leave this lonely table to its sad fate...
