Belgium is a really sick country. Sick of its voluntary complexity, sick of its corruption. When you see that we are fortunate
to have 9 ministers of health in such a small country (yes, nine !) and not to mention the other aberrations, you cannot help but be dismayed.
And when you see how part of the country's archives are handled, you cannot help but be revolted.
Today's visit takes us to a scientific site formerly managed by the national government, and since this stupid regionalization by the
Walloon region. If part of the site is still sometimes used, the buildings visited today have been abandoned for ten years, with all they
contain. Thus, we find on the floor many archives and maps, some of which date back to the 19th century.
We recognize a sick society by the way it treats its history...
Yes, this is a traffic light. But reserved for boats and barges.
The first room includes various devices for studying fluid mechanics. Here, an old control panel.
Different channels for studying the behavior of water.
The pump system, quite colorful.
A weather station slaughtered.
No one will answer anymore...
We arrive at the archives...
Difficult to take correct photos in such a mess.
A large pool. I imagine it was used to store the water used in the experiments.
An aspect of the site, covered in a beautiful fog.
Back then, we used to bother decorating even this kind of object.
An ancient boat (intended for a certain canal) rotting outside.
In Belgium, we love its heritage.
