Abandoning an old house can have two main consequences : either it will be quickly vandalized, or it will spend the years forgotten by everyone. This is what happened to Maison Deval.
A very old house which has been fallen in oblivion for over fifteen years, it has nevertheless weathered the ravages of time very well.
However, its future comes down to disappearance. Mercilessly erasing the past and erecting hideous blocks in honor of modernity and
profitability.
The old houses of our cities are increasingly threatened by the appetite of property developers. And as the public authorities are at the
mercy of these same promoters, Maison Duval will be a new victim of urban densification.
As with Villa Krisner, Maison Duval has been firmly sealed since my visit.
Another era, for sure.
Invasive nature. But not for long...
Upstairs are five small bedrooms.
It's time to leave Maison Duval in peace for the last few days of its existence.
Yet it still looks great...
